Britain's Got Talent star Beau Dermott has been praised by her father for 'keeping him going' throughout his cancer battle.
The 13-year-old, dubbed Amanda Holden's 'golden girl' when she reached the finals of the ITV talent show last year, had no idea her father was ill as she stormed through the live shows and subsequently landed a £1m deal with Decca Records.
And today, bricklayer Ian Dermott, from Widnes in Cheshire, hailed the talented teen as his 'driving force'.
The pair appeared on Good Morning Britain on Friday to discuss her new record, with Beau revealing: 'It’s absolutely surreal, so so honoured that I got to make an album. I’m so thankful for all the support.'
The pint-sized singer, whose debut album is called Brave, won the hearts of viewers for her 'truly amazing voice' with one writing: 'This girl is fantastic and full respect to her family. Good Luck with the album.'
Beau's new album features a handful of covers including When You Wish Upon A Star from Disney's Pinocchio and Somewhere Over The Rainbow.

The father-of-three eventually underwent surgery to remove the cancer which by then had already spread to his lymph nodes, before undergoing gruelling chemotherapy.

Speaking about his daughter, whose musical career was inspired by Julie Andrews, Ian added: ‘She keeps me going, that’s my driving force.’

Dame Vera had personally requested that Beau opened the gig, which saw her perform in front of the Queen.
Her performance of Glad Rag Doll caught the attention of executives at Decca, who called her voice 'one in a million'.
