The Reds winger has been made the offi cial face of menswear company Nicholas Deakins.

He’s also stripped naked for a cancer campaign and is on the front cover of a new fi tness magazine.

But Gibson insists he’ll still be putting his good looks at risk every week for Salford.

The 25-year-old said: “It might be a downer if I got injured but it’s a risk I’ll take because I’ll stay loyal to Salford.

“I got one bad facial injury last year when I needed eight stitches between my eyebrows and I ended up with a Harry Potter-style scar. Injuries

“But you can’t really see it in the photos because they airbrush things like that out.

“Also, playing on the wing or at centre like I do, you tend not to get many facial injuries so hopefully I’ll be all right.”

Gibson said he decided to give modelling a shot after people kept telling him he had the looks to suit the catwalk.

He said: “Some of it has been a bit scary, like the naked photo shoot when I realised that one of the photographers was a woman.

“But once you get into it, it’s fi ne. It’s hard work trying to fit it in around training but I’m enjoying it and hopefully it’s something I can do more of when I’ve fi nished playing.

“Friends say they’ve done a double take when they’ve spotted my photo in the shop window of Nicholas Deakins.

“I’ve also got a bit of stick from my team-mates but it’s not been too bad – they’re jealous more than anything.”

Salford, in 10th, face 12th-placed Wakefi eld in a crunch Sky TV game on Saturday.

Gibson added: “Both sides need the two points. If we can string back-toback wins together we can get back into the top eight so this game is a big one for us.”

Meanwhile, troubled star Scott Moore has been signed by Huddersfield for the rest of the season. Widnes Vikings sacked the ex-England hooker last week after his latest breach of discipline.

Moore said: “I’m grateful for the opportunity to put some recent silly mistakes behind me.”

■ Castleford star Rangi Chase has been banned for three games and fined £300 after breaking Tangi Ropati’s jaw in the Challenge Cup tie against Featherstone on Saturday.
