A celebrity event planner has plunged to his death on a New York sidewalk in what police believe to be a suicide jump.
37-year-old Bryan Jacobson allegedly leaped from a 14th floor window at his luxury Broadway apartment. He was found on the Greenwich Village street with duct tape around his face.
Jacobson had organised the wedding of Robert De Niro's son two years ago. He planned the 2008 nuptials of Raphael De Niro and Claudine Dematos which was held held at Tiger Woods' Albany Estate in the Bahamas.

Police sources said Jacobson may have first tried to suffocate himself by putting the tape over his face.

His body was found Tuesday morning after he crashed down next to a Caterpillar construction vehicle parked near the sidewalk on Mercer Street late Monday night.
Cops recovered a suicide note and the contents of the letter has not yet been released but is believed to detail the pain he suffered as a result of ongoing health issues.
Neighbours claim the party organiser had recently fallen on hard times due to the dip in the economy. Jacobson ran his business from the address where he lost his life.
'He was definitely depressed. His event planning business wasn't doing well, and that might have been part of it', said a witness who lives nearby.
A 69-year-old neighbour also claimed Jacobson hadn't been well, 'There was no question that he was depressed. Every time you spoke to him you got a negative response'.
Jacobson had began his career at the esteemed William Morris Agency in 1996 landing a place on their coveted training program.
He did nightlife promotions for socialites of New York and the Hamptons on the side before setting up his company Corporate Events Manhattan.
He went on to plan memorable events for Fortune 500 companies in the city but made his name designing dream weddings and corporate galas including for big brands like Chanel and Revlon.
Fashion PR Consultant Courtney Forrest wrote on her Twitter: 'Shocked and devastated. RIP Bryan Jacobson. You were loved and you will be missed'.
The city Medical Examiner is expected to conduct an autopsy on Tuesday. Police say their investigation is ongoing.
