But it was her third husband who caused the most controversy, as Lisa settled down with adult film star Jerry Butler.
Porn star hubby
Lisa met her porn star husband Jerry on the set of 1987 adult film Traci’s Big Trick, where she was working as a make-up artist and an uncredited writer.
Despite meeting in such a racy environment, Lisa wasn’t happy with Jerry’s continued involvement in porn and he was forced to fly under the radar to continue shooting films without his wife finding out.
Jerry himself admitted he was “addicted” to the porn lifestyle during an interview with Dateline NBC, and the couple discussed how his career was damaging their marriage on the Sally Jessy Raphael Show.
Lisa admitted: “We had an agreement that he would not, absolutely not, continue doing adult films,” before she discovered he was going behind her back.
But despite efforts to mend things, the pair divorced in 1992 and Jerry retired from porn soon after.
Jerry died from cancer aged 58 back in 2018.
Gruesome discovery
During her marriage, Lisa turned to illegal drugs to help her cope with Jerry’s lies, and soon became addicted to heroin.
Things only got worse when, in 1991, she discovered the body of Kelly Van Dyke – her husband’s daughter and niece to Dick Van Dyke – after she hanged herself.
Kelly, who was 33, was found dead in her bedroom after calling her husband speaking about killing herself.
